Why we're building GoodMetrics
Remember what it was like to use Universal Analytics?

Then in typical Google fashion, they ruined a good thing by replacing it with GA4 👎
Suddenly, data was severely delayed, useful reports vanished, the UI was clunky, and privacy concerns still remained.
So like many people, we decided to look around for alternatives.
As it turns out, there were many privacy-focused alternatives that popped up over the past few years. However, we found that these privacy-focused solutions were a little too basic.
All in all, we simply couldn't measure the performance of our website in the way that we could using Universal Analytics.
So we started to ask ourselves:
What if we built a website analytics product that respected user privacy, but still enabled website owners to properly measure the performance of their website and their content?
And with that, the idea for GoodMetrics was born.

Who's behind GoodMetrics?
GoodMetrics is co-founded by Christopher Gimmer and Marc Chouinard. We've built several software products over the years (most notably Snappa) and feel that we're uniquely positioned to solve this problem.

How is this different from other privacy-friendly analytics tools?
While other privacy-friendly alternatives exist, most of them are just single page dashboards. With these tools, we found that conversion tracking was limited, they didn't segment new vs. returning visitors, and the reporting left a lot to be desired.
All in all, we feel that GoodMetrics is a lot more powerful while still being intuitive and easy to use.
Do I need to uninstall GA4 to use GoodMetrics?
Nope! Feel free to run GA4 alongside GoodMetrics while you try us out. However, we're pretty confident you'll delete your GA4 account in no time 😉
How much will GoodMetrics cost?
GoodMetrics will cost $19/month for up to 100,000 page views and scale up from there. Given the useful insights provided, we think our pricing is a no-brainer.
